Quetion about FSX and backward compatibility
I understood that you prefere to wait FSX beeing released to check if you can without trouble make FsPassengers compliant to it, which
seems wise.
Now I wish to know if you will take care of backward compatibility, in a simple question: "will the next release(s) STILL be compatible with
FS9 ?"
As you can guess, beside FS9, I have a whole set of software making my "flight environment" like FSNavigator, Active Sky, Radar Contact,
FSinn for network flight and Lot of planes.
This means that I won't jump on FSX immediately but first make sure, I can run it in good condition on my hardware and, if the features
provided in my add ons are not uncluded in FSX box, wait until these add ons get FSX compliant.
So, more likely, It will be something about one year between the first release date and the moment when I "migrate" to FSX.
This is why I really hope the next upgrade(s), free or not, will still be FS9 cmpliant.
I totally agree with Boston
Today, FsP in its current release fully provides what is promised. I did not have any tech issue with it, it is as "bugfree" than a software
can be. I mean by this that the remaining bugs like the 100 h maintenance reset by 25 h are not pivotal issues) Then the main reasons
for further release are additionnal features.
All this means work. As you are the one doing this work Dan, You are the only one up to decide on what condition.
As well on my side I am the only one up to decide if I would buy these new features or keep on living with what I have today.
No butt-licking or cheesy post, it just telling that I simply have got all what I payed for. Should we refuse applauses to an artist after the
concert just because we payed the ticket ?
btw, a little remind of my little wishlist :
- Make the dialog boxes, kneeboard and manifest movable (it's annoying to cancel a loading simply because the data needed to fill in
the fuel load or flight time is hidden behind the fixed FsP dialog box)
- Penalties configuration by plane instead of global (ex: A Caravelle does not have strobes, a PSS a340 switches off the landing light as
soon as the gears are up, Concorde without flaps etc...)

Quote:Again, This product is for FS9 aka: FS2004. Dan never stated it will run for FSX, who knows yet. If Dan decides to not provide an
update,
that is his right. FSP runs great, and why should he provide more features for free?
