I guess everyone of us has a favorite aircraft they like to fly at FSPassengers. My own favorite are these:
General Purpose aircraft: I've tried rather few, but I choose the ole' good Cessna 182s Skylane that comes by default on Fs2004. It does what I
want to without much complaining, although I haven't been able to cruise at the 'cruise speed' indicated on the specs, but it's not a bad mount.
Still, I'm too green with GA yet, so if you think there's a better chance for my virtual flight academy, don't hesitate to tell me.
Turboprop commuter: My own choice goes for the EADS/CASA CN-235. It was created as a military tactical transport, but it can also be used as a
45 seat commuter. I like it because my long-range version can fly over 2000 nm (!) and, while it's slow, it can land almost at any field, and, being
a STOL aircraft and all, the landings are smooth enough to give my pilots extra points for it, even in bad weather.
Small jet liner: Blame random, but the 737-300 by Eric Cantu I've got and painted with my own imaginary livery -being a graphic designer and all- is
very, very disappointing. In the week I've got, I've had two serious fuel leaks, one on each tank, and got the undercarriage locked TWICE -I'll admit
the last one was my fault, but not the other ones- and have had a belly-landing, so I'm considering changing it by an Airbus A321 as soon as I collect
enough money. It's strange how virtual factors can modify one's tastes, since I'm sure real-life 737s are much better than what luck gave me.
Regional Liner: I like trijets, so my favorite is the 727-200 Advanced, and there's a very good model for FS2004 by Eric Cantu. As soon as my
young airline has enough money, I'll create a little fleet of these nice airplanes.
Heavy Liner: Continuing with my tradition of love to trijets, I'm sure the large birds on my fleets will be either DC-10s or MD-11s, and hope they
won't be too expensive to maintain (hey, I'm a kid from the 80s!). I miss the times when MdD was an independient manufacturer, and would have loved it
if they had pushed forward the MD-12 project. Oh, well, at least, I can still fly MdD planes on FS2004.
Those are, or will be, my favorite planes to fly on FSP. And which are yours?
