I love FsP, and things I disable or enable are for my benefit and mine alone. I dont use it to compete or to advance faster than the next
avid simmer, nor do I use it for a VA.
Knowing my sim, and the hundreds of add-ons I have, sometimes I find conflicts that cause a crash of the sim or the plane, so I turn off
crash detection, however if I crash my plane from user error I will record it. If I have a bad landing, I record it. I dont do this to benefit
anyone else, only me, and its helped my simming tremendously.
I have flap detection off because with a very low modifier most of my planes in my fleet dont require flaps for take off.
Sometimes I start at a gate and other times on the active runway. Sometimes I fly waypoints, other times direct GPS.
Occasionally I will set the autopilot after reacing my flight level and go to bed, or go to work, or go shopping, etc. Some disagree with this
one, but hey, its my sim and impacts no one other than me however most of the time I am at my PC or near it. I never use the time
acceleration feature, but others do. Is it cheating that they do? Not if thats how they enjoy their simming experience. Some people will
design weather scenarios while others might fly during the summer when its January. I always fly real time weather, real time of day/year.
We are all different in personalities as well as flying skills, and ways we sim, and you know what? Thats OK by me.
Is there really a definition of 'cheating' with FsP? I think it only becomes cheating when you do something that bypasses the goals you set
for yourself
