Euroute is a great freeware program that only needs registration. You download it and put the files in the modules folder of you flight simulator
directory.
Then you start the program in the modules folder (EUroute.exe), it can also be started from within the simulator, then if i remember correctly this is
where you register. After that you choose departing and arrivel location, then you choose the route you want to fly. After that you have some options
of choosing aicraft type, cruise altitude, speed and more. When you are happy with your selections, choose "FS2004 GPS export" and save the flight
plan. Now you can close the program, start flight simulator load the flight plan you just saved and fly it.
The other sites are a bit tricky if you don't have an addon flightplanner like FSNavigator, which is a payware addon. There you choose departing and
arrival airport, and it will show you the routes. If you use the default flight planner then you will have to manualy create the route from the info
on those sites, which I wouldn't bother doing.
If using FSNavigator and simular programs it's a lot easier. You put in the route that is shown on those sites, and then you can export it like with
EUroute.
In http://flightaware.com/analysis/route.rvt you will see the route let's take klax to kjfk (Los Angeles to New York) for instance. One of the routes
will show as
"LAXX5 TRM PKE J134 ICT J19 STL VHP ROD J29 JHW J70 LVZ LENDY5".
LAXX5 I think is the departure procedure (SID), TRM and PKE are Nav points or VORs, J134 ICT means follow High Altitude Airway "J134" to navpoint
"ICT" and its the same for those marked in red. When two navpoints are side by side like "VHP ROD" it means go direct from VHP to ROD. Then we have
LENDY5 which I think is the arrival procedure (STAR).
The Other site http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ its about the same, only it has some more information and a different set up.
I hope you find this helpful, and I apologise for spelling mistakes I may have made since english is not my native language.
And if anyone notices mistakes i have made or if i'm completely wrong then please correct me since i'm not a pilot or in any other way related with
aviation except Flight Simulator.
