I'm a little confused, wouldn't you in essence still want to descend as fast as the aircraft could go, staying within structural limits of course.
Oxygen masks will give you air but that's not the only thing not up there, your still putting your body under a lot of strain lacking of
pressure. FL400, 7.5 miles up, I'm going down asap.
