BUT.... I WANT A -3/500 TO FLY!!!!

In reality, I'm constantly switching between the aircraft, and that's half the fun of it! True, the -700 is the most "pilot friendly", and my overall
favorite, however it'd be great to fire up a -3/500 every now and then (you could even go to http://flightaware.com/analysis/route.rvt , and
use the data there to plan flights with certain aircraft).
I like the looks of it, and even though it's a different panel than the -3/500 we fly here at SWA, it looks very good. I was reading quite a bit
about it at the Feelthere forum, however I expect this forum, and other "NEUTRAL" forums to have give a better view of the "true product".
They claim that everything was tested/certified by type rated 737 pilots! How bad can it be? If only I was on the design team
I'm still seriously considering it. For one, it models a few things that PMDG left out (I've heard of IRS, and ACARS implementation;
although not sure how well these work), and on the other hand it left a few of the things PMDG modelled out. What if we didn't compare it
to the PMDG NG (since it IS a different aircraft), and went from there. How can it be SO terrible? It seems like they put a lot of effort into it.
I understand that there are some issues with the WXR. I probably WOULD NEVER use it in the first place! Keep in mind that on our -
3/500's, the WXR is a seperate module... we have analog HSI's. If PMDG modelled a WXR, IRS, ACARS, and a few other "essential, yet
overlooked" features in their -700, we'd be in great shape!
Bottom line is that I do want a -3/500 to play with in FS. Is it bad to the point I won't be able to use it? How are the FPS in this one
compared to the PMDG (minus the WXR, since I heard that EXECUTES FPS)?
I'm thinking about giving it a try. It's not too expensive, and the worst that could happen is that I end up filing a chargeback with my credit
card company
