What is wrong with my insurance rate?

Ok, I'm not sure how does FSP calculates the cost of the insurance for the flight, but since the insurance rate is a percentage, I believe it
simply subtracts the percentage from the total income of the flight (the income from passengers and cargo without subtracting the fuel,
service, airport... costs).

If that happens, I think there is something wrong with my FSP:

my flight report shows that the insurance rate is 17.70%, and the income from passengers and cargo $198,450 + $62,947 or $261,397.

But then at the insurance costs line it subtracts $162,458 from my income, which is way higher than the 17.70%.

17.70% of $261,397 = $46,267.269

Can someone help me with this? I lost a lot of money in my last flight because of this high numbers, I was lucky that there was still some
income. I'll check my other previous flights for the same problem.

Ok I have some more information:

I just found out that this problem appears almost everytime I use my 757, concorde and my 787.

The 757 and the concorde, are not a big issue since the diference in the insurance cost is not very big (maximum 30000 more expensive
than what it shoud be)

But with the 787, the difference is over 150000 more expensive than the correct cost. Realizing that the problem is more serious with this
aircraft (after 2 long flights, 9-12 hours, one saved and the other cancelled), I decided to sell the aircraft.

My other planes BAE-146, DC-3, Cessna 172, and 737-400 do not have such problem.

Well, the problem is still there, so I would like to know if anyone has an answer, or had experienced the same.

Ok since I've still got no answers, I just found out that the problem was not the aircraft. I've just doen another flight with another aicraft, this
time it is a project opensky 747SP.

Still my insurance cost is not as it should be (16.60%)

correct cost = passengers+cargo income = $330,601 16.60% X $330,601 = $54,879

My total income was supposed to be $8,544,200 + the fleet bonus. (lost almost 10 million)

So, why are my insurance costs way higher than what they should be?

No, The flights that I make and have this problem have aircraft with 100% state. Maintenaince fully done.

So far I've had only one crash, and it was almost an year ago. (no injuries or fatalities).

And I don't have a failure for a couple of months already. My last failure was a fuel leak in a ERJ-45, which I only flew once, and I sold it a
long time ago.

My insurance rate is quite high (16.60%), and that is because of the single crash and failures when my company only had a cessna. (the
company did not have enough money to repair the planes). But that was over 6 months ago.

Still the problem doesn't seem to be that, the problem is that the insurance rate values (16.60%) does not correspond to the insurance
cost.

16.60% X $330,601 = $54,879 (correct cost)

Insurance Costs: -$213,373 (my cost)


Note: this usually happens in my long lfights, always over 5 hours.

Maybe anybody who reads that should check their own insurance costs to see if hey have they same problem.
