There is one moment you should release anyway, I can polish it during years there
would still be some imperfections. It's not a "hello world program"
Only massive release could reveal new problems 28 or 100 tester is not enough.
As usuall I plan at least a patch one month after release or sooner if there is
serious problems.

That will not happen, all calculated I gain about 30% what I had as employee... and I wasn't rich

It appears that the DC-4 is on the payload list and I just sent Dan a Connie payload model. I know there are several variations of the
Connie but at least there will be a generic one there for you instead of the default payload model now.

Thanks Marsu.. your english is just fine. Like you, I visit here often but never post.. but..I just wanted to say I'm a Dan Fan too..I appreciate what Dan has done and is doing for our community. I'm a
paid subscriber to FSP2004 and waiting with baited breath for the FSX version. If it wasn't for the missions.. I don't think I'd be using FSX as much..This is the program that keeps me flying all the time.
Looking foward to it.. can I pay now? lol

What is the Connie's title? title= line of the aircraft.cfg

Dan wants to make sure that it is recognized in the payloads.

Some 10 years ago a guy named Hardy Heilin released a program named PS1 for "Precision Simulator version 1" which set the standard for the term
"realistic simulation" once and for all.

Discarded MSFS since it did not allow anything near what had planned his only choice was a stand alone DOS program that presented (with a few minor
exceptions) all the systems of the B747-400. It was my first contact with a glass cockpit airplane and it was so realistic that the first time I
played it took more than 3 hours to start all 4 engines with the 300 page manual in one hand and the mouse in the other and had to leave it at that
point because I was exhausted.

PMDG many years later re-did the same only this time as a MSFS product and still did not have the same degree of realism (for instance PS1 had full
FMS holding support from day 1). The current FSX version is unbelievably good yet they are a team and Hardy was alone.

You know Dan, Hardy was in fact a musician who was also an aviation enthusiast and one day decided that since it did not existed anything like that at
that time (neither it was thought to be possible) he would learn to put code toghether and make a 747-400 simulation on his own resources.

He was a pioneer like you Dan and worked alone and took him around 5 years to release his first version to the market. He even did the distribution
himself at first until he meet a few italian guys who were developing addons for another great simulation called ATP (that was everything we ever
expected from an airline simulation at that time). Those guys made a superb md80 for ATP and started the frist european company dedicated only to
flight simulation software and hardware which today is known as Aerowinx.

Aerowinx took over the distribution and the last I know from Hardy (Through Captain Tarmac, who I met when I was living in Florida) is that he went
back to the music bussines.

You made me think of Hardy when you mentioned you used to be one as well.. And I realized that FSP and now FSPX are and will be considered (as
happened with PS1) milestones in the history of home flight simulation.

You should be proud Dan.

Whatever happens with FSPX, be it ready this year or next.. I wish you and your family the sweetest christmas and a wonderful new year!

Thanks for kind word, I don't underestimate my work but I really don't feel I made something "legendary" with FsP, it missed to my sim
flying enjoyment I made it.

Now I just expect to not deceive peoples with this new version... It's really more simple when you come with a brand new things that
nobody expected (in fact I love to surprise everyone with new things that nobody thought or made before, was the case with my
freeware addon for Virtual Sailor, for Orbiter and for Fs, but now the surprise is spoiled so I have a lot of pressure

NEWS:

Movies time was a frequently request and concern, now you can make your own list of movies title and duration by config files.
In flight report will show what current movies will play if you press mini report button (randomly choosed in the list) but by menu you can
choose a specifical one in the defaut list, if the choice don't please you simply edit the cfg file and make your own list... from boring short
documentary to great and long movies. This might solve the "movies duration" concern.

This is probably the last feature I add to FsPX until release... (not a big work, I must just pay attention to not introduce bugs) I'm waiting the
last material (gfx voicepack, doc correction translation) then it will be time for a "gold" beta and last test... if all seem fine it will be release
time...

I think to make it as promised at least for christmas. Maybe some days before but no promises at all.

The german pack is still on top of best voicepack, (english one are good also yet) the loadmaster one with a rough military making
announcment will be very fun I think for war zone ... the french one is the very last that I still wait but I found one hostess that seem very
promising.

There is currently 4 english complete pack, 1 english pilot only pack, one loadmaster pack one complete german and one french.

Thanks for what I consider this personal service!

I was offline for a couple of days (work, work, work).

I fly the l049a_v30 which I found on http://www.avsim.com. FSX ready. Only thing I tweaked is change the panel def from alt to = (hope this is
clear enough) because I like the AP better. Only drawback is that I cannot get the side views to show the windows (they're there, but I don't
know how to show them).

There are some other Connies out there, including previous versions of this one and they are mediocre at best. This one I like really well.
There's a commercial one too from Abacus, but if you run Vista don't go there. They have some kind of protection in there that puts stuff in
your registry and I had to reinstall FSX to get rid of all the error messages I got.

For me the Connie is back to the roots (you know, when vintage planes were just old planes I was just a young boy ). I even celebrated
my 3rd or 4th birthday on board of a Connie (Amsterdam to Curacaou). And apart from that I think it's the single most beautiful plane ever
built (which is a matter of taste of course). But if I look at those curves... wow. There's not a single straight line on that plane. And you
know what? I like curves (and not only on planes

I noticed there is a Connie payload model in the 2004 downloads as well as a DC4. Are you adapting those, or can the same payload
models be used in FSX?

No problem. If anyone else has special aircraft that they plan on flying and are wondering if there will be a payload model included, now
would be the time to mention it, but you better hurry because the clock is ticking.

The 2004 payloads should work but the pictures will be updated. (This is minor but makes the program better.)

I'd like to know if there is or if it is possible to have an ATR payload model? I personally have an ATR 72-500 (ATR72_500), a great aircraft
for hops and short flights, the model I have downloaded from

2072&min=10&orderby=titleA&show=10#searchresults - look for the Danish Package. Awesome aircraft- includes VC, Panel and
even an inside view.
