You may find this odd at first, but it is a blessing, that you are not penalized if you do not park at the gate. Why? I've been testing FsP for
GA flight services, even "bush" piloting and landing in remote areas to simulate dropping off campers and hunters in the wilderness. And
it works due to no penalty. Your destination log indicates the nearest airport from your landing spot. I've even dropped off passengers
from float planes. But I suggest that you keep your plane in the water and not drive up on land with wheels down. The bump shakes
everyone up and even sometimes damages the tail of the plane. It'll cost you for that.

If you make your settings to "instant load" of passengers instead of real time, it won't matter about the door. If you set it for real time
loading, the door has to opened to load & to unload passengers.

About every plane got an animated door: SHIFT-E will open (and close) it.

No, as far as FsP is concerned, once you set the parking brake, you are at a gate. As Stuart pointed out, that's to accomodate all posible start and
end scenarios.

Maybe.

If you end our flight and pax are getting off and you close the door, they will not be able to leave the aircraft. If you start another FsP flight
with pax from a previous flight on board, you'll be penalized.

That's my interpretation of the docs and I have not tested it myself.

As soon as you have your parking brake and you made a flight
you can call the "end-flight" in menu and get the end-report OR
you can open the door and the passengers will leave your aircraft.
Once empty then simply call the "end-flight menu"

Anyways you'll be penalised if you start to move with the door open
while passengers are embarking/disembarking.

"boarding/unboarding" are mainly only a candy you can instantly start/end
a FsP flight by the menu.

ok..i've got a good one....I tried out a 757....an kept hearing wind...from the cockpit.....when i finally did an external view....and swung around
the plane...the cargo hatch for luggage was open....i dont even know how i opened it....

any ideas on what i did?

Did you press Shift E? Are you using a program that opens the doors?
