Which 737 - feelThere PIC or PMDG?

Hello,

I've been thinking about buying a 737NG for FS2004, and from what I can tell, the feelThere 737 Pilot In Command and the PMDG 737NG seem to be the
best packages commercially available.

Can anyone tell me :

- Which is the most accurate simulation of a 737? (in terms of panel and flight dynamic accuracy)
- Which has the most accurate visual model?
- Which is the best value for money?
- Are there any better ones out there?

Really, I'm looking for a 737 which has a fully featured and accurate panel (including the full FMC setup). I really want to be able to fly her from
the VC, clicking switches and pressing buttons as a real 737 pilot would be able to do on a real 737. I want to read the systems guides for a real
737 and use these to fly the simulator.

Is there a product that fits the bill?

This has been discussed many times. They are both great packages. However, if you want a 737NG DON'T get the Wilco. The Wilco
version covers older models of the 737~ like the -300, -400, and -500. Those are reffered to as Second Generation. The NG(New
Generation) is the -600 thru -900. Both companies did a great job modeling their planes, but they have modelled diffrent varriants of the
plane. If you want a 737NG, get the PMDG. If you want the SG, get the Wilco.

Thanks guys; I was really quite torn between the two, as I love the feelThere Caravan!, and I also love the PMDG 1900C; both are very high quality
add-ons, and were definitely worthy of my cash - didn't know who'd have made the better 737.

I'm leaning towards the PMDG 737NG package - how is it for frame rates? I notice they recommend a machine quite a bit faster than mine

I'm using an Athlon XP2600 (1.9 GHz), with 1 GB PC3200 RAM, and a GeForce 6600 series 128 MB AGP8x graphics card.

The PMDG 737 works fine on my PC. I get good frames on both packages. I think that the PMDG 737 gives me a bit more trouble than the
Wilco, but the difference isn't big.

I fly the crap out of my PMDG 737 and I love it, i would go PMDG for the money.

one thing though, in order for you to be able to click buttons in the VC, you must purcahse the 800/900 expansion. If you only buy the
600/700 you can not click buttons in the VC, except for a few, so with the 600/700 only you wil have to do your pre-flight in the 2D.

PMDG 737 runs pretty good on my pc, AMD XP2800+, 1024mb RAM, Geforce 5900XT. And it's a great plane.
It runs even better now that I converted the textures to DXT3.

I also have the Wilco's 737, but can't say much about it since i've only done 2 flights, so far i like it.

If you're a big 737 fan, then you should get them all, like i'm trying to do. All i need now is the 100 and 200 models.

My specs are P4, 1024mb RAM, 3.GH proccesor, and a 128mb video card.

I also only need the -100 and -200. I have all the other 737s. Wouldn't it be nice if someone made a quality 737-200 and 737-100. btw, did
you guys know that there is only 1 737-100 flying commercially in the world nowadays. All the other ones are retired. I can't remember
which airline it flew for.

Well, there were only 40x -100s ever made, and that was nearly 40 years ago; it's not too surprising. Are there any that have been restored and
placed into museums?

If you get the PMDG u need all of them 737 600/700 and 800/900

There might be a 737-100 in a museum somewhere. I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure that the first 747(-100) ever made is sitting in a
museum in Everett. Or was is Boeing Field? Probably somewhere around Seattle.

Ivo coered it. They are two very different airplanes.

I own both and love both. They both perfom quite similar on my system (a bit beefy at 3.4ghz with xfx 7800 Pci-e video card).

If you have the coin get both, I certainly enjot flying both variants.
