Unhappy! Need Help !!!

This is not a today's problem, the most aircrafts' flight range in FS2004 is much shorter than the actual designed range.
The problem appeared since I started playing FS2004. But at that time, the problem is not so annoying.
Until today, I started to fly the B747 from ZBAA to YSSY (4500nm), with 134 passengers and another 56000 lbs payload. The planner
shows me that the required fuel is 200000 lbs, but I can't even reach YSSY by consuming all my 290000 lbs of fuel. (134 ps + 56000 +
290000 gives me 100% payload)
I was forced to cut 2 engines and descend to FL200 from FL350, declare an emergency (gives me a $5,000 bill) around Bali, Indonesia.
And spended me almost 12hrs rather than 10hrs to complete the trip. Depress!!!!

Since I do not have too many ideas about the aircraft.cfg, here, I am writing to ask can the range or fuel consumed or relevant data of an
aircraft be edited to solve the problem??

Keep in mind that maximum range settings entail operating the aircraft at MAXIMUM altitude, and ECONOMY (or lower) cruise settings. If
you're cruising around at FL200 and Mach .82, don't expect to reach the maximum range of the aircraft. Now if you're at FL370, and
Mach .75, you've got a better chance

I have tried my hardest to fly as long as I could!
Now, I have 220 passengers, and 90% of tanks been filled, without anymore cargo, the plane is 100% payload.
I climb to 6000 fts by vertical speeds 1800 ft/mn, and then apply 1200 or 1000 v/s to climb to FL300. The whole climbing above 6000 fts,
the speed I apply is always just before overspeed. Then start cruising at FL300 by Mach 0.83. By doing this, I could fly a bit more than 14
hrs. Now, I feel a little bit happy with B744.
If you prefer long flight hours or long range, you might have a try!!

Now, I would try Mach 0.75 at FL370 how's going!!

Seems like an awfully slow climbing speed.

I know my plane's totally different but here's how I climb in 757.

From takeoff, I climb at +15° pitch up at speed of about 240kts (approximately 5000ft/min) until 10000ft, then I increase climb speed to
320kts and reduce climb rate to 3000ft/min until 20000ft. Then I reduce again to 2500ft/min (to serve drinks!) until 30000ft. Above that I
climb at 1900ft/min until 35000ft.

Works like a charm.

Also keep in mind that the FS flight planner isn't very precise about fuel consumption because it doesn't take in account the higher fuel flow during
take off and climb. It only shows you an indicative quantity of fuel needed to travel from the starting airport to your destination at that cruise
altitude (no climbs nor descents) and at the maximum speed.
I usually board a bit more than twice the fuel indicated on the flight planner and i never run out of fuel, never get 45 mins fuel penalty and also
don't waste useless fuel.
