VoxATC at AVSIM

Has anyone seen / used this addon - it looks expensive but might be an option to avoid VATSIM which sounds intimidating to me at last?
Does anyone know if it si worth the $70?

What i heard the voices in the software are very digitized, read by a computer, not recorded from a real human voice or so. If you can live with that
it should be nice software they say.

I wouldn't say it is. Thank's to the robotic voice and it's incapability to handle AI traffic. I would DEFINATELY go for VATSIM. It is in NO way as
advanced as it looks. I've run VATSIM for some two months now. It's great, and if you just say that your a newbie, people are really helpful.

I remember everyone saying that it was very robotic. I wonder if that's changed much with the AT&T natrual voices. They sound pretty good (except a
word here or there) on the demo site that AT&T has up.

Well...get the demo and try it, and there you will see it yourself.

I tried VoxATC. Absolutely HATED it! It really makes me thank god for FS9's ATC feature (and that means that the
program must be EXTREME SH*T!) You know you've lost it when you praise the ATC in FS9. When shall I check
myself into the looney bin?

Nothing beats a real human input in my opinion

I've grown to love the FS9 ATC. I can't use it too much though, or else I'll find myself trying to press the ` button in the real 737 cockpit!

You should write boeing a feature request, and tell them what you need it for, they will listen...

Put a sticker with a ` on the PTT button, that should help

I wonder why Microsoft didn't just put a voice recognition feature in. It should be very easy for them to implement.
