Majestic Dash Q400: Gear failure?

Recently got the bird and it seems to work fine with fsp, except for one problem: the gear is marked as failed after each flight. I dont recieve any
penalty for that, but I have to repair the plane always even after a normal landing.


any idea what might be wrong there?

What are you touchdown rates in fpm and your pitch rates?

There ou go, sorry I was away for a while:

3 flights:

-29.2 ft (and a tailstrike) = gear failure

--336,92 ft = gear failure

-441,54 ft = no gear failure


that doesnt really make sense....

The numbers in your answer don't really make sense. What Darrin wants to know is your touchdown rate in ft per minute and the angle that the nose of the plane was at
when you touched down.

I think your issue is pitch on the nose. The Majestic Model Dash Q400 is more sensitive on back gear pressure than most aircraft. You will note the longer than normal
length of it's support bar. We have seen light penalties with Majestic aircraft as well.
Could you send us the cfg for your aircraft so I can see the line codes involved with the model? I would like to compare them with a similar aircraft I have that is not having
the issue.

Majestic Dash 8-Q400 isn't your ordinary FSX addon, it has a custom flight model that is being run outside FSX. Because of that I'm afraid it might not be entirely
compatible with Fspassengers due to that fact, other similar programs have experienced compatibility issues with the Dash 8 too.

I guess fspax may not detect the touchdown rate correctly due to the custom flight model.

Hi Again,
If I can get a copy of the aircraft cfg file I might be able to find a way you can use it with FSP. It should not effect the aircraft's flight dynamics in anyway. I will just be looking
at the landing gear related line codes.
