Multiple aircraft

Is it possible to own multiple aircraft of the same livery? Every time I try I get a message saying: Your company already owns this aircraft. This
occurs even if I change the registration number. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, the program has to identify it somehow, so it can tell you how many hours it has, when it needs maintenance, and so on.

So I'm going to guess the quick answer is "no," but it's very easy to get around it. Just edit the aircraft.cfg and add more virtual airplanes.

e.g., "Paint 1," "Paint 2," "Paint 3."

You can but you have to create a new entry in the config file (just copy, paste, and rename it one higher sequentially.) using the same
livery. Maybe someone can post screenies for you if you don't understand what I posted here. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

That means I have only to change in the aircraft.cfg section [fltsim.0] the line -> title=.......

Is that the correct way? Or I must create a new section [fltsim.1] ?

You need a new section. Now, each of the livery sections (i.e. under [fltsim.0], [fltsim.1] . . .) points to a texture folder. That doesn't need to
change (and if it did, you'd need another texture folder of that name). But yes, the title should change, along with the UI_Variation.

Note that there are 3 "UI" entries. These are UI_Manufacturer, UI_Type, and UI_Variation. These are used to create the entry in the FS aircraft
menu. To create a new plane of the same type, you also need a different "UI_Variation" entry.

So, in the new section under the tag [fltsim.xx], you need, at the least, an updated Title and UI_Variation.

Thanks, I'm doing it in the way you said. Unfortunately, I have 3 aircraft in my fleet and I have only changed the title without a new section.
