Okay, the more I fly the more I'm getting some repeated routes. In my roughly 25 flights in FSP 4 of them are KLAS to KLAX and 2 are KLAX to KLAS.
Each flight has been, in order 1:06, 1:07, 1:04, 1:03 and then 1:10 and 1:11.

Already patterns are emerging that would be fantastic to know when I tell FSP about a flight. I mentioned this before but just posting as a
reinforcement with some more info and in a thread on its own.

When I'm sitting in KLAS and I type in KLAX, I would absolutely love it if a future FSP would come back and provide a list of the flights I've flown
first match exactly this route and then, also, provide the inverse at the bottom of the list or a button press away. It would also help if the lists
could include some calculated averages and such. Let me know that the average time to KLAX from KLAS is currently 1:05 and let me know what the
standard deviation is in case I have a flight or two totally throwing off the average. In addition, let me know anything else that might impact this.
Am I much heavier or lighter than the average flight, for example.

I could then use this information to provide a solid estimate for my arrival.

Part of the fun then would be to build up that history so that you can benefit from it.

*scratches head* I think that was a feature that was discussed during the BETA but I cannot remember what happened to the suggestion

The only negative I can come up with regarding it, off the top of my head, would be that this is giving you some sort of information that you wouldn't
necessarily have readily available but then again, I don't buy my own argument there. My "illusion" is that I fly for US Airways and clearly they'd
have metrics for every flight graphed, analyzed and cross-presented in 100 different ways.

Well, then there's the possibility that it just fell off the list because the product had to get out the door.

I've found that this is probably the most difficult area for any airline type of simulation - what data to display. There's simply so much that, to include it all would make it no fun at all - more of a chore - and not enough leaves you wanting. Somewhere there needs to be a balance. As I was reading this, I was already jumping too far ahead.

"Well, if you're going to show the average time it takes, you should also add in the average weight and then, well, you should include cruising altitude, wind speed and direction and, oh yeah, time of day, as some days you may have spent more time on the ground in line - speaking of that..." It can easily get way out of control. That's when I usually get depressed, throw the idea in the closet and forget it for a few months!

Why not track things yourself for now, using a spreadsheet? Just log everything in there after each flight - I mean, EVERYTHING. Then, after a time, you'll be able to find out what is really needed or desired and what can get pitched. Then, bring that list here and maybe it can be tossed into a future release. Just a thought.

Personally, I still like to fill notebooks and graph stuff everywhere - makes it look good. Actually, it just makes a mess but hey!
