glitch of current update or just pilot error

Hi guys,

ive got a problem. On my last flight i lined up for my final approach at CYEG (Edmonton International Airport) and lowered the gear at
around 190 KIAS, and a few minutes later, the gear retracts itself and the co-pilot says "oh ---- weve gone too fast with the gear down, im
afraid we're going to have to make a belly landing captain". Is this a glitch of FSP current update or am i really going too fast with the gear
down, resulting in a pilot error? (remember that the speed is only 192 KAIS).

This plane might have a "gear damage speed" set in his aircraft.cfg at this speed (or less)

sounds like a problem with that plane's aircraft.cfg. What plane are you using?

i believe it was a Boeing 737-400, Alaska Airlines Livery, if you want the aircraft.cft... just ask.

That's the default 737 then?

Seems like a .cfg error, I don't know what the gear down speed is on a 734 but I thought it was 220 KIAS.


edit: thinking about it that might be the maximum flap extension speed, gear is usually lower, mine is usually not lowered until on final and hooked up to the ILS (if there is one) so around 150-160 Knots usually. I know that's not how it's done but with FSHS it's in the landing checklist so gets done then. I would definitely suggest fly a few Bump and go's w/out FSP running at various speeds to find the max extension speed for your gear.

why without? couldnt i just fly with it and see? and going back to alphaones comment about the default 734, no it is not i got this one from
