Penalty wrong airport - but right airport?

I got a penalty for landing at the wrong airport - I landed at EGGP and I had scheduled a flight to EGGP. No other airport is even close by, so is
this an error (bug)?

Maybe you mistyped EGGP?

Activate your GPS on the runway. Which airport is designated first?

It's likely you typed the airport ID wrong as Pagir pointed out. Do you have any aftermarket scenery/AFCAD files installed?

There are a few possible reasons why you got this penalty,
As Swafo and Pagir said. You may have typed in the incorrect
ICAO code. Another may be that your flight was under 10 minutes.
If your flight is under 10 minutes FsP will not recognise your flight.
And thirdly if the airport is very close to another airport it could be
that the wrong code was picked up by FsP resulting in your penalty.
If it was not one of these I suggest reflying and double check your ICAO
entry.

Thanks - I triple checked the code I entered as Ithought that too - but it was right. The whole flight was strange - I couldn't get the aircraft to
fly straight, it kept wanting to flip over to the right, even on auto-pilot it went in circles and I could not get it to follow the GPS course.

No other airport close enough - so who knows. A strange episode.

About the flipping: did you check your fuel tanks? This kind of thing happened to me because of a fuel leak. Since one tank is empty, the
plane want to go the other way...

I had the same at KOSH, and it's pretty hard to spell that wrong, besides it showed KOSH on the end of flight report, hmmm.
