Passengers terrified, Dive of Death?!?

I was half way flying from kLAX to PHNL. Suddendly, with no apparent changes in aircraft attitude (unless I missed it), I saw in the mini
display showing that the passengers were scared to hell?!? I opened the inflight report and saw the message that they were terrified by
my dive of death!!! Must have been a glitch...could it be that the pressure changed abruptly and FsP took that as a dive? I was flying at
FL350 on 29.92. Does FsP recognize the dive from the altimeter or from an internal "radar altimeter" kinda?
Anyway, the flight was wasted so I decided to serve food and drinks and then really do the dive of death...eheheh...I heard the carts
crashing on the ceiling of the a/c and people screaming of course. Let's see if next time they'll try again to sneak up on me!

FsP take the vertical speed from Fs9, your VSI in brief... be warned that in Fs9 without visual or body indication
you can easily dive at a big rate without noticing it....

Well I was about to aks in this case if you think is fare that we get penalized for it but I guess there's no way FsP can distinguish
so...never mind, I'll do the flight again

Will we sse it on the vsi at least in this case? I guess the answer is yes since FsP can see it.

Fs2004 VSI is dependant from pressure)

Sorry but my first thought is that you didn't notice at sometime that you were diving at a big rate.

Ok, bare with me here all real pilots because my theory is a little rusty.
If you are flying at 29.92 pressure altitude and you could have a radio altimeter measuring the actual height from the sea, you will see that
it fluctuates (the radio altimeter) although the altimeter indication stays steady. That's because 29.92 changes height especially in long
flights. Do you already know what I'm talking about? I think in this case only the vsi moves (in FS9 only, I don't think in real life it moves).
I'm gonna try and do some tests...

VSI is based on difference of pression in real life and in Fs2004...

pression can change but not so brutaly that you'll get a VSI indication
of more than -2000 fpm, at least this was never reported in any fs2004
forum that I've read...

BUT you might use a "weather" program that had a glitch anc changed the pression
sudenly and so fast that your perhaps didn't noticed ? in this case that might
be the "weather prog" that's made the fault... ?

Yeah, that's what I thought. But even by changing the pressure manually with the FS9 advanced weather during flight, didn't produce the
same results. Although I had the leveld 767 captain announcing that "we have started the descent to our destination"! FsP didn't show
any sign. And by the way the vsi didn't move in FS9 either, just as in real life. Oh well, I though I was onto something. Weird...

It might have been a downdraft generated by ActiveSky...I guess I'll have to turn that option off.

I got this kind of trouble once flying under "real weather" through the net. at FL 330 the altimeter began to go up and down like a yoyo. As the
autopilot tries to keep FL 330 , off course the plane started dancing with the altimeter and quickly things go dodgy alternating climbs and descent
becoming sharper each time

I stoped this by switching off the AP altitude hold and started a descent focusing only to keep a constant IAS and attitude. Things became stable at
at about FL 280 .

Probably, linked to sharp weather and barometric pressure sharp changes ?

I still fly with real weather but did not had this trouble again despite some very sharp wind changes in strength and direction
