I have read that you have to play fsx in windows mode for this addon to work . is this correct . I will not buy it if that is so

That is incorrect. And kind of a pointless question, because you can try the software for yourself, and find out.

The only restriction in the demo is, you can only take off from SFO. Everything else is fully functional, so you can see exactly what you're getting and how it works with your specific hardware and other add-ons.

I fly i belive he is refering to the FS2 Crew addon FS Video marshaller.

let me do you a favor. Dont buy that. Who ever made it should be ashamed, Fs2crew is to good to even be selling it. its a horibal idea, a horibal
addon and horibly exacuted. Better left forgotton

Take the money you would have spent on it. and buy Fs dreamTeams GSX. that is the next addon i plan on getting
