NGX

Any ideas or experiences using the new PMDG NGX with FS Passengers? Does it need a specific payload model or can I use the FS2004 737NG ones? Are
there any problems with loading the aircraft, because it uses a load manager built into the FMC. (great idea but is this FSP compatible?)

humm i have no experience with PMDG products. but since it has its own load manager it may conflict

you may have to do the PMDG loader and then run FSP. be aware that FSP will alter the weight loaded by the PMDG loader. but as long as you dont
touch the fuel load, that would remain the same

Hi,
I've tried the NGX but I've noticed that some features don't works like the barometer, the autopilot altitude and heading... there is a settings panel
on FMC but isn't fully compatible...
The fuel is working, you have to set it first on the aircraft, then FSPx will recognize the quantity on the plane

Maybe someone knows how to solve the issues like barometer and autopilot commands? Thanks !!!

Not sure what problems you're having with the barometer...care to elaborate?

PMDG has said that during development they have tried to contact the developer of fspassenger so they could make it compatible with the NGX but
he or she never replied to them. So Fspassenger is not compatible with the NGX, I have tried it because i love FSPS and there are too many things
that go wrong when they are both up and running. Its a shame to see this product slowly dying out... time to move on.

Folks, to make the NGX work with FSP:

Load up and buy an NGX. Start a flight, but before changing ANYTHING, go to the "flight and aircraft setting" button. One of the boxes is
labeled "disable payload weight and fuel update". Change that dropdown box to "Weight and fuel disabled". I think it then exits the FSPax menu and
tells you to restart another FSPax flight. Voila, you now have a working NGX that will fly with correct fuel and passengers, loaded through it's own
FMC just like PMDG wanted it. Now when you start a FSP flight, it still asks you how many passengers you are carrying, and how much cargo is in
the cargo holds. It will give you credit (and money) for carrying them, but it won't alter the actual weight of the airplane.
P.S. If you're like me, and accidentally started a flight without disabling the payload weight and fuel update, just do the above procedure for disabling
it, then load another aircraft (cessna for example), and then reload the NGX. I believe it resets the weight to PMDG's FMC settings then. If not,
message me, and I'll try to help.
As far as the key assignments, I disabled the one that changes altimeter settings, etc., as flight simulator already had a key assigned for this. Using
the preset Flight Simulator key (B) works with the NGX if you have disabled the FSP keystroke.
