Have not purchased yet. But will try the demo.

Using FSX.

Will I be able to save a flight and continue where I left it?

My flight time is limited to two hour shifts and before flight inputs of ActiveSky and FEX and flight planner reduces the time to fly by about 15
mins, even with the flight planner already compiled.

I could use 2x speed. Would this be OK?

My favourite is Citation Mustang, although I also fly Embraer 170, but my intention is to use the Mustang.

Oops, a flight planner is included is it not. Even so setting FSPassengers up will take some time off my time available.

Ant advice would be appreciated.

I think, unfortunately, that's a negative, although I'm not sure. Might be
worth searching one or two of the forums for something like "save a flight" if you haven't done so already.

Could setting the simulation to "slowest possible" then coming back to it work (most of the time)..?

Saving flights is not possible, and is likely not to be added as a feature - see many previous discussions.

The short painful answer is no, saving a flight is not available. You can pause with the "P" key if you need to go take care of natures call or
for longer needs you can Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then drop it all to the bottom of the screen.

FSP has different choices for when you start a company.

You can choose to run the finances, and choose wether or not you have to earn the right to fly your airplanes (meaning you need the proper rank and
hours).

For me, I started in economic mode and career, so I'm earning my wings from the little Cessna172 and up. I'm in the Piper PA-34 and Beechcraft Duke
now, and going to Cessna Grand Caravan next... then on to ATR-72-500 and onwards to C-130's and more : )

Optionally you don't use career mode, and then you are free to fly whatever is in your aircraft folder.

Also, saving flights would ruin the FSP game. That would mean you could just save your flight as you align for approach then keep doing the landings
until they are perfect. That would negate the whole purpose of the points system as well as failures and company reputation. Might as well just do
Free-Flights then instead.

I like it the way it is now... sure, you can pause whenever you want for when you need a moment... or you can accelerate time for long flights (though
this means you don't get the bonus points associated with long flights).

As for flight planner and such, here's how it basically works.

After buying your first aircraft in FSP, or loading up an aircraft you own... and BEFORE you start the FSP flight via menu, you can set the
time/date, the weather and make a flight plan. Then you start the FSP flight and all those parameters will be there. You can't change time after you
started the FSP flight.

You can also open up the ATC menu and create an inflight IFR plan, but if that deviates from your destination (if you set one) for the FSP flight,
well... you're going to get angry passengers : ) Everything from FSX works in FSP, difference is you'll get warnings from FSP if you are about to do
some changes that will cancel your FSP flight, give you penalties and so forth.

I also meant to add that you can accelerate the simulation with FSP running -- I usually use 2x / 4x speed so I can complete a flight in the time I
make available for it. The consequence is that whatever points you earn from the flight are reduced by 30%.

I've also noticed that it takes the crew longer to complete passenger service when the simulation is accelerated -- something worth remembering if a
flight is due to last less than around 40 mins. Once you've descended below 4,000 ft (I think) any ongoing service is ended and registered as not
having happened, meaning flight points are lost (and penalty points may be incurred -- I can't recall). The documentation covers (and clarifies) all
the above.

Thanks to all for the information. Clears up all the points. I am still going to try the demo andd will probably buy as everyone seems to have a good
opinion.
