The only problem I have when it comes to long flights is the ATC. When they ask me to acknowledge a request or frequency change and I don't respond
in a timely manner they cancel my IFR. To prevent the IFR from being canceled I tune to a different frequency but never contact them so I do not have to respond until I wake up from my nap/ sleep. To prevent a flight from closing or freezing I turn off my power settings on my computer so it does not do something without my input. This keeps the simulator running until I get back from work, napping, or whatever I maybe doing. Just an idea for those that have trouble with the simulator. Saving would be a cool feature to add. If Dan could make it work for addon aircraft then that would be a huge bonus! ![]() "I live in the clouds"

To allow cheating of the flight time and points WOULD devalue those of us that worked for it. One day I see someones' signiture is C3
and the next a C23, that's when being a Flying Legend means nothing. ![]() ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

I would suggest that in the grand scheme of things being an FsP Flying Legend does really mean nothing.
However, instead of waxing philosophically I would submit there are a number of technical reasons why saving an FsP flight is impractical, at least with FS9. FS9 typically does not save a number of flight parameters like engine temp, some autopilot settings and the like and so these return to default values when the save is reloaded. There are now several very nice piston engined models that will fail the engines if run at cruise power when cold for example something that might not be good for an FsP revenue flight. Also those using real weather might reload a save to find conditions completely different with all the horrid FS issues that can cause. Probably an accurate rule of thumb is that the more complex the model, the less it likes to be saved in flight. I do not know about FSX and care less. Cheers |
