how to autoland

Hi,
I'm using PMDG 737-700 but I don't know how to autoland. (I know how to use FMC). Were can I find o video, if possible, on how to use
the autoland. I did a flight the other day, and visibility was not very good....so I crashed. Or if somebody has time in explaining this, I will
realy appreciate.

I've not known of any 737 performing autolands. Best thing to do is practice takeoffs and landings in all types of weather conditions
(without FsP running) and get use to turning off that autopilot and autothrottle at a certain part of the approach...let's say, 500 ft. above
ground level(AGL). Even though I have several aircraft that can autoland, I haven't used this function in almost 2 years.

Have you tried doing a search on Youtube to see if there are any vids of someone doing an autoland with the 737?

In real life all 737 can perform autoland (I'm not sure about the -200).

In FS I know how to autoland with the Wilco737, but I don't know how to do it with the PMDG. It should be possible.

It's actually quite simple.. Make sure you intercept the ILS automatically. As soon as the glidescope is captured, hit the second autopilot
button. Both autopilot buttons are now lighten up and your baby will automatically perform an autoland. Don't expect kiss landings. But it's
working.

Autoland with default aircraft is very simple, just follow these steps;
1. Make sure your NAV/GPS is set to GPS upon takeoff
2. Check the flight map to see which runway you will be landing at, make sure you check the ILS frequency i.e. 110.90
3. Set your NAV1 and NAV2 radios to this frequency, make sure they are active from the beginning, it's easy to forget.
4. Your aircraft will pickup the ILS frequemcy by making a beeping sound, i's quite annoying
5. When you are about 30nm from the runway (NB: Make sure your aircraft is below 3400ft), hit the NAV/GPS switch back to NAV
6. You must manage the speed at all times, depending on your aircraft these will vary, don't worry about the altitude and heading autopilot
switches, leave these on.
7. Lastly, hit the APPR button and watch as your plane glides in smoothly, at about 200ft from the runway, aka Decision Height, disengage
the autopilot and pitch at about 10 degrees, simple!

Actually since its only FS, if the airport has ILS why not just program the GPS Approach straight in to the RWY straight from takeoff??
Can make it seem more "straight in" for you if your practicing...

He has the PMDG 737, one of the coolest addon aircraft.

Just go to the DEP/ARR page in the FMC, select the Runway (and maybe a STAR).
When you get there, it will automatically tune the proper ILS frequency on your NAV1 so you'll have the ILS approach indicators on your PFD.
Line up on the localizer, Press LOC. Make sure you are BELOW the glideslope. As soon as the glideslope becomes active on your PFD, hit the APPR button
on the autopilot and make sure all the autopilots are engaged.

It should say Autoland/CATIII or Land or something on top of your PFD.
The aircraft will land on its own, with a smooth flare at the end.
PMDG aircraft are really good at this. I've seen the MD11 today flare and touchdown in form of a KISS. Seriously I have to buy that thing.

What you describe here is not an autoland procedure but a normal ILS approach. The autoland procedure is something only used when
extreme low visibility occurs and has no DH (that's the whole intention on performing an autoland). So I agree with juless17's description
of the procedure although I'm not very used to perform autolands, in years of VATSIM simulation I have never been presented with such
weather conditions that required an autoland. I think the lowest Decision Height I've ever landed upon was 100ft, where I must have
performed a CATII.b approach, and I scored it on the first try (positive LAND decision at DH - runway in sight), and I have both Wilco and
PMDG's 737's).

Oh, and that annoying beeping must be the activation of the morse ident of the ILS frequency. This is to make sure that you have the right
frequency tuned (you can check the written morse code in your ILS chart, it's those dots and dashes next to the name of the ILS
(something like I-XXX), but is not required to be activated in order to recieve the ILS signal.
