How Much Fuel

Hiya

Does anyone know how to work out the needed fuel the best?

I always fly the 737 - 400 and trying to work out the NM per hour isn't going so well lol

If I fly from Edinburgh to Dyce - that is 84nm and needed fuel would be 4960ibs but does FSP not require that you have at least 1 hour
reserve?

So what would the reserve be for an extra hour on top of the 4960ibs? lol

You can work that out. How long does the flight take? Work out a fuel consumption rate (lbs per minute) based on the 4960 lbs, and the time in
minutes the flight typically takes. Then just multiply that rate times the 60 minutes of reserve time (actually I think FSP wants you too have a 45
minute reserver, but 60 is probably better to use in practice).

Ah ok

The way my girlfriend tried to do it was 4960ibs divided by the flight time being 50 mins (Edinburgh too Dyce), multiply that by 60 mins
reserved and that came to 5952ibs, so reserve would be 992ibs..

Will try it your way and see what I get
