Suggestion for future update/release

I even don't know if it's possible, or event if it's been discussed before but :

I find the "fleet bonus" a great idea, it adds a lot of interest to the "economic mode".

But it's a little too easy : on each model of plane, i buy a decent one to fly myself, and the cheapest for the rest of the fleet, with a lot of
hours and a problematic maintenance, which i don't care since they never quit the ground, they only generates benefit (the dream of any
airline ) As far as i know (maybe i am wrong !) the quality of the airplanes have little (no ?) impact on the revenues they generate.

So :

I imagine the fleet bonus is calculated on the basis of the flight you juste made.

But, would it be possible the other aircraft of the fleet :

- have their flight time increased : it would force the company manager to make the 25h or 100h maintenance even on aircraft that are not
flown by the player. At purchase, the choice of the airplane would be more important than it is now.

- Maybe apply a "crash probability" in function of the state of the plane. It would force the company manager to maintain the fleet in good
state.

One again, i don't even know if it's possible. But it would be great, no ?

The maintenance state of you other aircraft is taken into account determining your fleet bonus. If they lack maintenance, you won't get income from
them. I don't know about the crash probablity though...

I didn't know maintenance was taken into account, it's a good thing.

But if a purchase a very cheap plane, i put it to 100% at buy, and i never fly with it, it makes good revenues, without never having to
maintain it... Their flight time should increase when they contribute to the fleet bonus...

I think its a good suggestion, making a point in having those extra aircraft, other than using it as a cheat to make more money quick, and
make the flights of the other aircraft vary, you could make a 8 hour flight, but one of the fleet flights could only be an hour flight, and what
do you know (even have fleet failures) upon landing the gear got stuck but landed safely and now you have to repare that one before it can
fly again. Guess you shouldn't have bought the cheap one :p

One thing that could add to the realsim is by having to have 'computer' pilots before those fleet planes can fly, and even view a report from their flgiths which effect your rating, etc... ya its alot but would be neat to see implemented

Yes, but it would be a pain to program and a deep restructuration of FSP.

But just adding flight time for the fleet would (hopefully) not be very difficult...

Dan has stated numerous times that he does not want this program to become like 'Airline Tycoon'. I think that the whole fleet idea was secondary to
the flying passengers thing. Personally i don't see anything wrong with having elements of 'Airline Tycoon' but this is Dan's baby, i sure as heck
fire couldn't program it; so we are dependant on Dan producing the updates. He's normally pretty open to suggestions though

I couldn't help throwing my 2 cents in... I think that would be great implementing time and a little wear and tear
into the fleet. After all for them to be making money they are active and should get some hours and a little wear and tear logged.

Put on yours! This program can become 2 times more beautiful than already is, it has got lots of potential!
