What should I do if I declare May Day by accident? That happened to me, and my passengers were crazy.

If you declare an emergency and there is no emergency, then you will recieve a penalty. THERE IS NO WAY TO UNDECLARE AN
EMERGENCY. You just have to land and hope that there really was an emergency.

One time I accidentally hit the Movie key while trying to bring up the in-flight status sheet, while on approach. My passengers were so
pissed when they didn't get to watch past the opening credits...

I've re-allocated the mayday key now, after alarming several passengers with the movies.

I think they should correct that situation. In real life, if you declare an emergency, and everything goes back to normal, they let the
passenger know about it. We sould be alble to do that

Even if you were able to "undeclare", neither the pax or your company will be happy. It was discussed many times before, and it was decided to keep it the way it is now. Hope it helps! Pagir

Even in a pre-911 world, undeclaring an emergency was very tricky. It was one think if you got your emergency under control but tell
ATC "ah, well, hum, I kinda jumped the gun and declared an emergency for nothing. Sorry, disregard the last transmission" was always a good way to have your radio license suspended... and guess what, without a radio license, you can't fly! Phil

The bottom line though is that declaring an emergency in FSP is MUCH MORE LIKELY TO ACCIDENTALLY happen! Remember, it's
easier to accidentally press a few keys, than it is to verbally declare an emergency. Just watch your keypresses ![]()

Kill the co pilot and make up a bs story that one of the engines started vibrating violently for a while. THe co pilot couldnt handle it so he killed
himself with the fire extinguisher. Then no one will know what really happend and you will have your radio licence and job at the end of the day. This was an idea made under the influence of ![]() ![]()
A landing that you walk away from in one piece is a good landing.

how about if you declare and emergency but you can cancel it and if there was no emergency when you declared one then you recieve
penalty point for declaring it when there isnt one? got me?

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of cancelling? I think everyone's MOST concerned with the penalty associated with falsely declaring an
emergency.
