Radar Contact question...

Just got my copy of RC4 yesterday and I have been using it instead of FS ATC in my last four flights. But I must be doing something wrong since
Approach doesn´t vector me to the ILS once i ask the runway I want to land in. If ask for IAP I know I must do the approach on my own, but
shouldn´t tower vector me to the approach course and glideslope by default,otherwise?

You mean you have uploaded a IFR plan into rc4, and during the flight, it does not vector you to the ils??

What does he say once he tells you to contact approach?

Yes, that´s it Drew. Well, I can´t remember exactly what he says, but doesn´t give me any vectors at all...Maintain FLXXX and contact tower at XXX.XX,
So I wait, and wait and ...argh, too late for descent....

very strange, ive only ever been 'forgotten' about once with rc4


Contact approach
And then i get landing RW number.
After a little while i will start getting vectored
(dont even have to select anything within rc4 box)
approach turns me onto final
once on the ils and gs, a few miles out

contact tower

and will be told im clear to land


no idea why you have to contact tower before being vectored.

Silly q's, but
you sure you entered a ifr, not a vfr?
sure the runway has ils?

IFR, RW previously set, but no vectors at all till I am told to contact tower. A text message appears, sth like LFML 251º/25/0 ..., that´s all. Will
post in their forum,...thanx a bunch Drew. In the meanwhile I will be "IAFing" myself...

I got mine half an hour ago. Got some weird signs instead of letters. As if I don't have the font needed. Also can't resize the window. Guess
I'll have to pop at their forum too.

Just disable the thingy (the green text background) and use ASV thingy (the one in modules) [sorry dunno the names]

ADV Display, Right clic, close window will do too to get rid of that annoying green "band"
