renaming dash8 payload

downloaded the dash 200 payload and tried renaming many times with no luck

renamed the files Dash8-200 (.ini and .jpg)
also tried dash8

-keeps telling me cant load background image
but the image looks good when i click on the jpg file

the same happens now that i downloaded the Q400 payload

What happens when you open the payload editor, open the ini file you want (dash), select the jpg of your choice and save the whole thing again?

This is what I do...

Go into the sim and start a flight. When it pops up with using the default payload model just start the flight with no pax and no cargo, then
pull up the report with Ctrl + Shift + Y (if you are using the default key assignment)

Look at the name of the aircraft you are using on the report.

If its

PAD_DeHavilland Dash8-200 Horizon Air

Name the ini PAD_DeHavilland after you select the background image (make sure the background image is the exact size required for
the payload editor)

If it is Dash8_200 name the ini the same with the underscore Dash8_200

Make sure your dash is in the exact placement as well as any underscores

Such as DeHavilland_Dash8-200 name it the same thing

to rename, simply go to the payload folder and rename the ini file do not rename the jpeg file

if you do want to rename the jpg also, so that the folder looks tidier, do so by...

rename both files
open the payload editor (start>programs>fspassengers>tools>payload_editor)
load the payload (you will get error about background not loading)
click the 'select a background' dropdown box, and chose the renamed jpg
save
