Buying additions to FSP airplanes

I was wondering for the next version of FSP would it be possible to buy additions to the airplane. For instance, although am not sure of this, when a
GA plane goes over 12,000 feet you usually get "pressure warning" or similar message. Would it be possible to integrate some sort of oxygen system to
allow going over 12,000 without a pressure warning?
Also, most GA planes dont come with GPWS, under my options I have it for Jets only, but maybe make that option available for GA planes only if you buy
it. Would be nice to 'customize' the plane lol.

Not sure if this is what you mean but in the payload editor you can set whether the plane is pressurized or not.

I specify all my planes a pressurized, whether their GA planes or not. This simulates supplemental oxygen.

Didn't know about the Payload editor. But I think it may add more realism to FS and make good use of the money if were able to buy customizations to
the aircraft.

well that you can do in several ways and has been discussed several times (changing the title in aircarft.cfg etc). For the pressurized setting, you
can make a second payload file with almost the same name. The original file you can leave the press off and the new one set it to on. When you now
start the fsp flight with your plane there should be a dropdown box where you can choose which payload file you wish to use

I think he was suggesting that retrofitting a plane with added equipment (such as a *fictional* pressurization system via the payload editor that
permits flight over 12k, or GPWS, or turbocharger, etc.) would cost your company. Similar to auto racing sims, I suppose, wher your winnings can go
to improvements in the engine, transmission, undercarriage, etc.

maybe fsp could automaticcly modify the oanels and you can by autopilot/ gps. maybe an inflight phone service where you can make
money for phone calls.

Automatic panel changing is a big no, as far I can can tell - FSP would need to know where to put the new gauges on the panel, and there's no easy way
for a program to do that all under its own judgement.

I do like the idea (upgrade your planes! kinda like Gran Turismo, but with aircraft) but it would require some fairly fancy work to do.

i.e. say you upgrade your engine. To make it realistic, you have to add weight to your aircraft, and must know where (in relation to the Centre of
Gravity) the weight must go. You'd have to increase the HP/Torque/Thrust/RPM (whichever is appropriate) based on the new engine's real-world stats.
Are engines of that type physically capable of fitting into the aircraft in question? i.e. a C172 with a GE90-115B = somewhat silly to us, but FSP
would have to be coded to know how daft that actually is.

Yeah, i like this kind of feature. FsP could be coded to have some custom modifications to airplane. This way they could be more customised.
But i think there is no other way to actully add modifications to an aircraft that editing the aicraft.cfg manually as FsP would have to have lots of
codes to be able to do it automatically, virtually impossible let's say. You'll have to calculate and manipulate the file yourself. I already do, with
my baron i set a power scalar of 0.98 from the stock 1.00 which sets power to its 98%, to simulate engine wear due to age. I will also have to
decrease max gross weight as performance decreases.
The possibilities with FsP and FS are infinite!

Don't know how to say it to FS but to FsP just use the payload editor and specify that the plane is pressurized.

it would be need if you could custimize your default 737-400 with engines from diffrent manufacturs, like more effientcy but with less
speed. or less noise (pax go happy) but less power. as for adding a pressurized system for cessna inreal life you would need to make
sure all doors and windows are airtight. even replace windows so they don't fog.

these changes can all be done with the aircraft.cfg and other files. FsP would not think you have a modified plane, it ll just read the weight of the
airplane if you want to buy a new one and the payload of it to load passengers.
