first Emergency

Well just opened my new airline (Arizona Air) and bought a small c182 in Milwaukee working my way to Prescott, AZ, (just bought FSP by
the way) working down and had already flown to Dubuque, Iowa. on my way to Omaha, turning base to final, flaps would not move, (i was
in a slight bank, my mistake) and declared an emergency, landed safely of course (i was only 8,000 ft. down the runway when i landed)
just wanted to say superb emergency and loved it, a little nervous bout an emergency after take-off, was declaring an emergency when
turning onto final appropriate? I was surprised by Omaha's quick emergency response, sirens right when i landed, less than a minute
after i declared the emergency.

My fifth flight with FSP, and I had a bird ingestion! Truely interesting! I thought, "Alright, what the hell is wrong with FS9 this time!"

Hmmmmmm I have 109 hours and just a landing gear failure so far, but then I keep my fleet well maintained, unlike many REAL airlines
I could mention.

What airlines do you know of that don't maintain their fleet well? I'm assuming you live in the UK... from what I know, most of their airlines
are maintained pretty well.

I first bird ingestion (ive had two) happened at a small airport, I took off, engine failed completly, I franticly tried to restart it, no
avail, I landed it safly, this is what happened

Incident Report:

one engine sustained major damage shortly after take-off due to a bird strike and shutdown immediately. This is one of the worst possible in-flight
emergencies. There was an exceptional pilot on board and despite the dire situation he was able to land the aircraft safely. The Captain has also
declared an emergency before landing.

Helios, Mandala, West Caribbean Airways, Northwest Airlines, Alexandair, etc. Most aren't of much concern to people in the Western
wordld though. But Norhtwest should be avoided. They may be a large airline but they have had too many incidents recently, and sorry,
but I have to say that if they were sure they were maintaining their planes properly and that WAS happening, incidents like that wouldn't be
happeneing, because they DON'T JUST HAPPEN. They've had tire bursts on landing, nose wheel fialures, hydraulics failures, what next...

Northwest also has been dealing with a mechanics strike lately. In my opinion, they seem to be handling it very well! Not that I'm
defending Nothwest or anything (Remember, my airline is simply on the other side of the map... Southwest! lol)
