Cannot go into instrument only view

I have Vista and FSX. When I hit "W" to go from full cockpit to just the instruments (easier for this noob to land) it doesnt work. Can someone help
me with a possible fix?

Change the FSX key assignment to something that doesn't conflict with an FSPax key assignment.

1). Are you getting some kind of weired overlap or just nothing?
2). What is the ATL for in you name? The ATL?

I do get the weird overlap....I am a novice pilot but pretty good on the CRJ700l. depending on the terrain and flight i like to go to instrument only
for the landing portion which also helps me not blow tires!

I live in the ATL and pretty much live at KATL with my job

Her is how to get rid of the overlap. Hit the W key. Put the cursor on the 2-d panel area (anyplace not switchable). Right click that spot and you should get a box
that says "close window". Do it. VIOLA and there is your mini-panel. We are neighbors, I live in Canton, 45min. north of Atlanta.

Why thank you sir! I will give that a shot! I am in Acworth..just north of Kennesaw. Not to far at all....love it here.
