Giant FPS drop during audio playback

I'm running FS Passengers X (on Vista) and every time audio plays from the various cabin announcements, there's a significant drop in FPS and the
whole game seems to lag. I've pinpointed it to just when the audio plays, as when the audio stops but the green ticker at top that gives the message
currently being played sticks around, the FPS go back to normal. It seems to be only when the cabin announcements play, not for the ambient music. Is
this a known issue?

Never had this issue. Do you have onboard sound or a separate sound card? Maybe you could reduce sound acceleration a bit and see if
that helps.
