PMDG 747 FSX Compatibility

Hi,

I've started to try FSP with the PMDG 747 and I've noticed two things which maybe worth noteing.

1. I was taking off and FSX reported I has attempted to 'fiddle' the fuel quantities in my tanks. I hadn't, I can only assume something PMDG does is
getting misread by FSP.

2. In order to close this message I had to have a flight with the FSX window and task manager. This happens on any FSP dialogue box which appears
during a PMDG 747 flight. It seems FSP isn't able to force its dialogue boxes on top when flying the PMDG 747.

I'll see if I can get any more information.

On a side note, the numeric entry for the auto pilot and comms is worth the money alone.

I've done 3 or 4 flights with the PMDG747, I had that fuel dialogue box pop up once as soon as I began my take-off roll on one of the flights. But it
popped up on top and all I did was close it and that's all I ever heard about it. I was never penalized or anything.

Ah, this happened to me yesterday as well, while taking off from Sydney to LAX. PMDG 744X & FSXsp2. I had a terrible time with the
report window causing screen-lockups as well. I posted this observation in a thread up in the "General" forum earlier today. I haven't had
a chance to test FSpX with any of my other payware aircraft but I wonder, if this isn't 744X specific?

Hi,

it is known that PMDG aircrafts conflict with the FsPX fuel load option. Just deactivate the fuel & payload in the flight & aircraft settings
(within the payload dialog)

Did that, two flights in a row as a matter of fact. With weights disabled for the specific aircraft and the 744X pre-loaded with fuel from the
744X load-manager, FSpX set my fuel to zero after starting a FSpX scenario. I had to cancel it, reset the fuel from the PMDG menu again,
then FSpX left the fuel alone when starting a scenario for a second time. But I then got the report window pop-up (which locked the
screen) just about the time I reach Vr, going down the runway.

yes man..i got the same problem on PMDG 747...i can use alt+enter to close the dailog of refuel from FSPX,but it seems that the FSPX" locked".
I can't service all the flight, it locked at when the dailog appeared..

Seconded, I can't use FSpx with my favourite 747.

Is it the same for passengers weight? or is this only an issues with fuel?? cause we're all flying a ghost aircraft if it's the case, which is, well,
pretty annoying...

Hi,

I have the same problem as well but without screen lockups. I just could close the window and that's it. However, I used to have trouble
with screen lockups previously -independent from FSpx, which was resolved by re-installation of fsx and all addons from scratch and
*NOT* installing the service pack 2 for fsx. Maybe this helps...

However, I have two other issues refering to the compatibility question.

1.) When I close the in-flight status window of FSpx during flight, the auto-throttle somehow disconnects and I have to press
VNAV again to enable it. Anyone observed the same?

2.) Autoland does not work for me anymore. Did anyone try? I don't know whether this is related to FSpx-it occured to me just recently after
installing FSpx, which is by the way a great software....

Response on your previous thread:
1) Do you have the pause option enabled when you open the in-flight report or do you have the pause option disabled? Disabling it may
cause some instability issues.

2)You have confirmed that the approach issue is duplicated when not using FsPX?

Same problem. FSPAX X wants to refuel my PMDG 747 during take off, and sometimes climbing.
Pause is disabled and i deactivate the fuel & payload in the flight & aircraft settings, but it does not work more :-(

Did you find any solution for one month ?
