Recall Mayday

I love fs passenger and the forum and also a quick response of Dan and other people.

When there is a problem on board i declare a mayday, but when i solved the problem i can't undeclare the mayday so that the
passengers not scared anymore.

I hope that this is an feature of the new version :P

Sorry no way for that, in reality if you declare a mayday and change your mind sometime after
you'll still have a lot of people to thanks you at arrival and present the bill (FAA etc etc)

Anyway about mayday: if you are not SURE the failure come from FsP right click on the mini display
and check "option->failure icon" a warning icon will come if FsP is in "failure state" and you have to declare
a mayday. This can help you to avoid declaring a false mayday. (be warned this cheat will reduce a bit your failure bonus)

Anyway this "cheat" might not be neccessary at anytime, for most failures FsP's copilot tell that something
is wrong, when it's the case you must declare an emergency.

well i think what they are talking about is such as landing gear issues where you bounce the gear down, and it clears the problem

Just thought of this (and never tried): if you have e.g. a gear failure, what would be the better approach? Try to get it down first (manual gear
pump, touch&go) and declare mayday only if that fails, or declare an emergency right away?

I think in reality the emergency would only be declared if the belly landing was unavoidable, wouldn't it?

I think poblems with the landing gear will always be declared even if manual retract worked

Don't do that: declare the mayday first. If you don't declare it you'll be penalized, even if your attemp in locking the gear succeed.

What does the Canadian Automobile Association has to do with this?

Yes, Pagir is right. Declare an emergency, change your squack to 7700 and request touch and goes from the tower. Personnally, I also
do a chase plane view to see which gear is not down and in what position it's stuck. I've had 3 gear failures so far and on 2 occasions, all
the gears were down but not locked. I just landed the aircraft as smooooootly as I could and came to a complete stop on the runway
without using the brakes (in case it would have been the nose wheel).

i have had 2 gear failures, one where it wouldnt go down and one where it wouldnt go up, i did a safe landing for the one where it couldnt go up

when it couldnt go down i did a succesflu belly landing at vancouver intl, but the plane slid right down into the water
