I know this has been talked about alot.. I've read alot about it.
Just noticed that a few years ago Dan said he was gonna do something, even if just an option for us to c haange in "moreoptions.txt" --
which would be fine with me.
Am I missing something? Surely an update or something has come out to address this ? I hate blowing tires at 300 something ft/min ..
doesn't happen IRL. (not here to debate that
).
Anyhow..
First.. Dan, would you give it a shot? Unless you have and I've missed it.
Second --
Any of you found work arounds..
If not.. want to give me any tips on landing an ILS?
I line up on the runway heading 10-30miles out.. to have plenty of room to speed down.
I've been starting at 1000-2500 ft (low intercept).
Once I get the ILS (markers on my MFP (ILS display) with tone (well out 5+ miles) I will hit approach and it picks it up and adjusts
appropriately.. and takes the plane down all the way, slowly over may miles.
At about 200 ft or so.. I'll turn AP off have thrust to zero (throttle zero).. flaps at reference figures -- depending on my payload. The landings
are smooth definitely not fast (I'm talking 130knots many times) .. and BAM tire blown.. -300 points.. Sigh.
I won't put it past me that I'm landing inappropriately. If so, please enlighten. (None the less still want the option to adjust or at least
remove until one feels they are 'ready').
Thanks,
