The nose gear was damaged during takeoff (due to MS thinking that the runways at PHX are horribly potholed) and didn't retract. I declared an
emergency and returned to PHX, and ended with my CRJ's nose buried so far in the ground that the forward door wouldn't open. Should I have continued
on to SGF with the nose gear hanging out in the breeze?
