Okay ....

Most of you will have encountered one or more during your travels...
On my last flight to Heathrow i was on final aproach with 30 happy PAX onboard.
Untill i lowered my landinggear ....the wheels did not lock.

2 options ....try and bounce em so they lock ....but this methode is not really appriciated by
the PAX , exessive Gforces and hard landings.
The other option is to come in low and soft , and pray the landinggear holds.

So i declared an emergency ( that also scared the PAX )

The landing was not as soft as i hoped ,came down at -216.92 ft/mn
Slammed the brakes .....landed safe....the PAX cheered and applauded

And -216 ft/min is pretty damn good considering that your vision was most probably blurred by the sweat running down your forehead, your hands were
shaky and your pulse above 140...

Only shame is that i had to sell the Shorts 360.......the repair bill killed me
Got it cheap .....but it was at 73% (and no money to fix it....but hey 12 hours before next maintenance )

Serves me right flying dubious aircraft .....better keep em at 100%
