Theflight Perth to YESP was frustrating for me. First I faile dot find any good turbo-prop plane. Then I found on that where Icould start the engines (nighter manual nor with autostart) then I tried FSX default: same result..then iswitched from a jet with running engines to the prop..the engines went off. . So I showed up too late again.Next I choosed the wilco CRJ700, and forget about prop planes. At least the engines operates on jets. I prepared everything and pressed a button on the FMC that looked somewhat different than to the airbus one and that FMC crashed FSX... hmm somehow it reacts alergic to the apr/dep key when you never entered a flightplan or a location where you just are... Ok fine reboot FSX and wait for FSInn scanning all the aircrafst once more that cost alone 10 minutes. With 1 hour delay i finally airborn without a prope Flightplan programmed in the FMC (only part of) because I couldnt figure out allhow it works just by trying. In the air i failed to get the autopilot climbing and holding the Altitude I set. Somehow it operates completly different... So i played almost the whole flight with the autopilot tillIcould set analtitude that oh well finnaly accepted but thenit kickedout my speed settings. It does not accept both alt and speed...yeah i guess you never want to fly on a certain altituidue with a certain speed with that aircraft.. how dare me to get such a thought to want both! ![]() Ok I know it isn't a good idea to fly a plane you have no clue how its instruments, autopilot and flight Management System works. But I thought it's boring to take the wilco a318 airbus again.. and it can not be that difficult...aehm it can! Toward the destination i figured that FSInn projects a Plane on my Tail again. Every fresh year (install) again I have a fight with FSInn. Problem is I did not deactive the collision detection in FSInn..don't know where anymore .. Good old booze crew (joey and tracker) somehow feelt that I am a nice target for their F15's. Ok When you have to wait 30 minute on someone you can get such ideas! ![]() In the approach I let the plane speed drop to 120 knts..because I knew its a shor rwy. Well I had no clue about the minimum speed of this aircraft but I know now it's somewhere around 120knt! The plane started to fall down rapid! Good thing is I had just enough altitude to give full thortle and flat catch. The stall warning went off for half a second. So I came flat in but could land and stop poper until FSInn catched up and projected one of the accompany over my plane that lead to the unavoidable object collision. ![]() That DC3 likes my plane a bit too much! What a stress ...heck and I fly to relax !! ...

Know the feeling, HB!
![]() I always try to use an aircraft/livery that actually services the destination airport and, apart from some Russian legs, it has worked out pretty well. But I must admit that I have given up on trying to use the correct panel for each model: I stick to Ken Mitchell's cockpits whatever plane I use (apart from the 737 where I use one from PSPanels). GREAT comic, BTW! ![]() @Tracker: hey, I'm really delighted to see that the weather info is getting used; it was a bugger to incorporate into the site!

I always check the weather info right after a final look at the charts

FS failed on me last night #$%^#$ and couldn't get it running again. I think the mrs. had something to do with it as it started this morning without a
glitch.. ![]()

![]() ![]() It was fun harrassing HB w/ the fighters the other day. Wish I would have gotten a pic of the roll I performed as I passed from under and up over HB's plane. Would have been a cool shot ![]() Note to self: never get a wx briefing from that drunken WT pilot called Tracker... ![]()
