? about movies!!!

can some one pls tell me when and on what planes can i show movies....i've been trying for the longest to get the movies to work and no luck!! someone
pls help.

The movies last 90 minutes, so if you wanna stretch it, all flights which are longer than 90 minutes you have the opportunity to show
them (even on flight shorter than 90 minutes you can always show the inflight movie, but when the flight ends and the movie isn't finished yet, instead of pleasing the passengers they become annoyed and ure rep goes down).
Now I think you can almost certainly show the inlfight movies on all jets, but I am not certain whether you can on smaller turbo-
props. Mind you, when I fly my F50 I can play the movie when I press ctrl + shift + O, but when I select to play the movie from the menu it
says my aircaft doesnt support this option.

Just play around with it, see what works and what doesn't! What aircaft do yo have in your fleet?

Hmm, interesting, I've just always assumed that it would work on all jets or something, but never really thought about it. Maybe it is the
amount of passengers your plane can carry. If for example there are 75+ pax you can have on board, you can play movies, if below that
number, you can't. (Just an assumption).

Dan, maybe you can shed some light on this, what the specifics really are?

under fsp > fspsetup > crew options
select all aircraft have crew, and make sure it is on manual service.

From the fsp manual

CREW: FsPassengers also adds a Flight attendant to your airplane. By default, this is only added in larger aircraft but you can change this option in
the setup. A crew will allow you to serve food and drinks, play a movie and make all the usual crew announcements. The crew is interactive and, for
example, it will instruct the passengers about what to do if you declare an emergency or how to evacuate the plane if you make a successful belly
landing. The crew sound only plays in internal view but there is also an option to display the text in external/internal view or never as co-pilot
text. The crew will also set your seat belt sign on and off accordingly to the flight phase if you have “automatic belt” enabled in the “Crew and GPWS
setup” menu.
