How do you "know" if your in turbulence?

Maybe I just haven't encountered any yet in any of my FsP flights, but how do you know when to turn on anf off the seatbelt sign for tubulence? I
find it very difficult to tell whether or not your experiencing turbulence in Flight simulator (mostly because you just can't feel it.) Maybe I'm
wrong, and there is a way to know your experiencing some light chop' like I said, maybe I just haven't come across it yet. Anyone have the answer to
this?

My plane buffets around when I go thru turbulance. The passengers get fearful and adrenaline goes up. You'll find that turbulance can
exsist under cloud layers.

If the verbose mini-report is activated, the pax's fear will raise. And it will be writed something about Passangers getting worried about
turbulence.

Basically, you don't have to set the seat bealt sign in light turbulence... I didn't see any penalty for not doing it in my beta testing. Light is
when Pax are scared aroung 10%. When flying trought thunderstorms, you'll see anxiety rise to like 25-30%... I haven't tested not setting the seat
belt sign but I think that at that level, you might not even wan't to consider not putting the seat belt sign on!

Thank you. I'll look for passenger anxiety levels in the mini-report to determine fastening the seatbelt sign or not then.

The PAX anxiety level is definetly the way to be aware if you're traveling through turbulence that requires the seat belt sign to be on. If I
encounter some CAT at cruising altitude, I'll normally cycle the seat belt sign off, then on so that the FA makes her "turbulence"
message. This way I feel comfortable in knowing that I won't have the passengers complaining about having their seatbelts on for no
reason.

If the flight is perfect without a bump anywhere, I like to turn off the seatbelt sign while climbling through FL180. I then slow my ascent to
about 1200fpm until we reach cruise level. I'll let those who need to visit the bathroom do their thing for about 20 min, then I'll serve
food/drinks/start movie or whatever. I know that in some real world flights the captain will turn the seatbelt sign back on during meal services
since the meal carts block the isles. I go ahead and do this too (for realism) Once meal services reach 100% served, I'll turn the seatbelt sign
back off. Once the descent begins, I'll turn on the seatbelt sign again while passing through 18,000 ft until parked at the gate.
