Hi FsP folks! Help

I have a question for advanced pilots about Braakes Sound in FsP. Can your brakes always be heard from the cockpit in the real world ? Does it sound
the same in all jets? Thanks in advance! Beer

It depends on how hard I honk on them. If I'm really trying to stop short quick you can hear kind of a grinding sound (not really sure how I
would describe it).

I think though that a lot would depend on the type, and weight of the aircraft and conditin of the brakes.

I know that landing with a 737-700 here on Faroe Islands (Vagar Airport) is fun. I can really hear the brakes and at the same time getting pulled hard
in my seatbelts, and seeing all the loose handbags and stuff flying along the floor to the cockpit and than stopping at the edge of the runway.....

In light aircraft (Cessna 172, Piper Arrow), the brakes occasionally have a higher pitched, hard to describe sound. Definately audible. I have never
heard it in the Seneca, maybe because of the improved soundproofing. Next time I hitch a ride in the Seminole, I'll listen for it as well.

You can hear the brakes on almost any airliner. The sound comes close to what FsP is simulating, however not always as loud as that.
The sound varies a little from type to type (still speaking about airliners, GA/BA A/C were mentioned before), but you can certainly not
recognize the plane by the braking sound. Variations in brake sound depend more on the brake intensity, as mentioned above, runway
conditions, state and temperature of the brakes.

Here's a cool video of a 737 landing at Kuujjuarapik (Northen Quebec). It land on a short frozen gravel runway... You'll hear the reverse
and the 80 knts and 60 knts much better than the brakes, but I think of this video after reading runibl's post about Feroe...

The 737 land a little bit hard and stop quickly...
