how to become captain

I have no idea what my vision is. At school, they do tests every year to see if the students can hear, see, etc. They just told me that I didn't
need glasses. Does anyone know at what vision you need to have glasses?

Do they test for brain activity in those tests? I pride myself on my quite high intellectual capacity, but at times I can definatly see... myself
not catching on to afew things as fast; such as, forgetting what the verticle stabilizer is and what not while my Instructor asks me in the
middle of the flight as a un-expected pop quiz. After 13 years of reading aircraft books, sims, ect ect ect you'd think Id know the answer by
heart by now (which I do.. but, meh).

lol, one thing about aviation-- there are only good pilots. All the bad pilots are dead! That's why I will never do a solo until im 17 XD

Close - 20/20 vision is being able to clearly see an object at 20 feet that should be seen clearly at 20 feet with "standard" vision.

20/10 vision is being able to see an object clearly at 20 feet that the normal person sees clearly at 10 feet.

On the other hand, 20/200 vision is being able to see something clearly at 20 feet that the normal person can see at 200.

Mine, uncorrected, is pretty close to the latter! Luckily, I usually wear my lenses. Although I did break my glasses once and drove home. That was
awesome!

As my eyes are 20/10 so this is not an area that I am familier with. However, if you are worried then I recommend a trip to your local AME (aviation
medical examinier.) A list of AMEs are avilable through various websites, I found mine through AOPA.
