No wind but still shakin' - strange

I had a strange event yesterda night. I flew from EPWA (Warsaw) to EPKT (Katowice) with my old beatiful
DC-3 (I finally got to buy it <lol>) and though the wind displayed on the screend (SHID|FT+Z) was 235/00
the plane was shakin' like crazy, sometimes causin' over 30-degrees banks. The pax were scared to death
(not screamin' thou), I was sweating trying to control the plane on the approach and I didn't make it at the first
time, cause I couldn't hold her on the runway. I made it on the second attempt.

Can you possibly tell me, what could be the reason for such a strange behaviour?

its called turbulance, due to the nature of the wings it really picks up turbulance and starts making you sweat bullets. The DC-3 has the same wing
span as a 737, and maybe a little more actual surface on the wings, this allows for its very short field preformance, but works against you when you
encounter turbulance.

Allright, I forgot about turbulences... how could I? Maybe it's because I never experienced such a strong turbulences on low altitude before.

I ran into hurrican Beta in a DC-3, got 29% fear, aircraft was shaking worse than a washing machine. its just as strong its just more articulated with
the DC-3 due to all the wing area.

Unfortunately I have a lot of trouble with holding the plane on the path every time I fly. I think I don't like the DC-3 . I collect money (and ranking
points by the way) to be able to buy an ATR at least...

For what it's worth I find that the default DC-3 is really sensitive to centre of gravity issues so if you don't make sure that she's balanced
when to take off then low speed pitch and yaw become real problems. Keep the round-engines flying!

BRAD - I didn't think that turbulences may be an option in my problem. I never experienced such turbulences that I can't hold the plane
at the that landing path for longer than 5 sec on 300ft.
I had my problems with wind never with turbs...

I'm kinda inexperienced pilot still.
