I've disabled the passenger screaming in the setup options, however they still scream during turbulence. What might I be missing?

As George says, don't fly in turbulence, although it's half the fun in my opinion. Just have to make sure you don't have a full pint in front of you when in turbulence, that's all. ![]() Best wishes, Trevor ![]() Always Live Life to the Full ! Not very helpful guys. I was just curious if anyone else experienced this after disabling in the options.

Given the fact that you can create your own sounds, it's not that much of a stretch to realize you can replace the screaming sound with silence or
anything else.

Why should you disable the screaming in the 1th place ? They only start to scream when you can't fly, learn to fly, keep them happy and in case of
emergencies call a mayday and a 7700, land without gears/flaps and they will be very happy, applaus for you ![]()

That's not exactly true. After further investigation it has something to do with the way ASNext injects the turbulence. I'm still working on it. But thanks for the suggestion that I learn how to fly
considering you know nothing about my skill level.

So, Jeff, let me understand this correctly. Humans scream in turbulence. Which are you trying to alter through code manipulation? The screaming or the turbulence.
the turbulence.. Just deal with it like a pilot. ![]() If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. However, the true fix was in updating the service pack. If you read the thread you'll see that other people had screaming on the taxiway. Hope this helps
anyone that may also experience this problem. http://www.hifitechinc.com/forums/showth...passengers

The volume in the option menu do not control the turbolence whining. It is for screaming in extreme danger conditions.
You have to zero the volumes, with some audio application, of "turbfear" wave files in sound directory. remember to save in 22kh, 16 bit mono Wav Post Edited ( 02-10-15 02:02 )

The problem was the injection by ASNext of the turbulence effect on the aircraft. By updating the service pack and slightly lowering the effect slider in ASN, there was NO need to alter
FSpassengers in any way.
