Evening everyone,
I am a long time FS user and recently came back into the aviation simulation fold after being bored one afternoon and deciding to go about flying
again. To summarize my issue, some time after re-installing ONLY FSPassengersX, I would not encounter fatal errors, but a complete freeze of the
program. The longest I left my computer standing afterwards was about 45 minutes before giving up. After extensively playtesting the issue, I have
found that it only occurs when I either open the main menu bar while in game, or load FSPassengersX from a similar menu. I've been researching the
issues for weeks, using FSX.cfg tweaks, the UIAutomation core fix (as I run Windows 7 x64 bit) to no avail.
I'm honestly stumped and home that some assistance can be provided here. Do you guys know if its FSP related or if its something else entirely?
EDIT: I failed to clarify earlier that the freeze after using the menu bar is not instantaneous. It may vary from 4-60 minutes, and usually takes about 15. Most commonly the problem is aggravated by the approach phase of an IFR flight.
