Water landing turns into splash

Hello,

I'm using FSP-X since FSX came out and never had to make an emergency water landing for now. But today, I had to, and it ended with a
splash.
I tried to make an emergency water landing several times, with different planes but I was never able to make an successful landing.
I have the realism options of FSX set to easy. For FSP I can't remember having anything changed in the options regarding this.

What options are needed to allow me making a water landing? Can there be anything wrong with the FSP installation?
