How to use FsPassengers with PMDG MD-11

Hey all,

I'm suffering the same problem as the rest when I use FsPassengersX with PMDG MD-11. The flickering mini report, dialogs that are strangely displayed
(they appear once and then, despite they're there and you can click on the buttons you can't see them), the problem with the weight and fuel load. Also, I can't manage to set the lights properly, using PMDG's switches I always get penalties for not switching the landing and strobe lights on when entering the runway and leaving them on on platform.

So, what's the right way to make them work together?. Does anybody have the answer?.

Hi

I've been searching around because I had the same problems as you and this is what I did. This is my temporary solution until someone
knows how to really fix it:

Fuel - Load the fuel with the PMDG MD-11 Load Manager before loading the aircraft with FSPX and do not alter the fuel amount
with FSPX.

Weight - I'm not sure but I think weight is working fine.

Lights - I turned off the light penalty.

Well, it´s more complicated than that I´ve experienced.

There we go with several issues I have observed:
- Lights: When handled via the airplane's panel they won't be recognised by FsPassengersX. I could deactivate the penalty, but hey, then I only have
to feed the people.

- Weight management: When loading the aircraft via FsPassengersX the CoG will go over the limits. I tried to start a flight in FsPassengers, get the
number of passengers, etc, cancel the flight, put approximately the same numbers in the PMDG's load manager, and start the same flight again.
Sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesn´t, because sometimes the CoG will go over the limits, and once the flight has started you can´t change
anything.

- Movement of fuel between tanks: The MD11 has several tanks, and I'm not going to explain the operative, but when the wing tanks are full some other
tanks are filled, and the fuel will flow from the other tanks to the wing tanks, making these last be always full until the other tanks are emptied.
This results in FsPassengersX detecting a refueling operation inflight whenever this fuel transfer is performed.

- Mini report: As reported before, it flickers and shows an attitude gauge.

- Dialogs: sometimes the dialogs hide, making it impossible to see where the button to be clicked is. The workaround is to minimize-maximize the FsX
window and the dialog will be briefly displayed before showing a black sceen. Then you can see where the button is, and eventhough the dialog is not
seen the button can be clicked, the mouse click will be transferred to the dialog.

Result: Impossible to seriously use FsPassengersX with PMDG's MD-11.

I totally agree what inphinitum post, as the same problem in PMDG 747X.
Both MD11 and 747X would perform fuel transfer during the flight, which caused the FSPX detect refule and freezone FSX and itself.
However, up to now there is no staff of FSP tell us if it is a BUG and NO SUPPORT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if they noticed the problem and solve it soon..
if not, the FSPX doesn't worth the money with lame bug.

kkzfish, I am sorry you don't like the product.
Your problem is that FSP doesn't work well with the PMDG MD-11 / 747X. Those are not typical add-on products and as it has been
stated in many posts, don''t use the fuel and weight option on these planes. You can also check the manual and even change the config
files so that it may work for you.

To me it's a great product, one that I'm very happily using. Check out the new Air Hauler from Just Flight and you will see how well done
and balanced FSP is.
