FSPX blocks "W" Key?

Hello all,

after what seems like eons of waiting, I saw today that FSPX is finally out, making it the Best.Christmas.Present.EVER! Thanks Dan! :D

I've just completed my inaugural flight (from Frankfurt to Leipzig in a LH 737-300), which went beautifully.

Just one thing: when FSPX is active, the "W" key, which in FSX changes the panel view (for example, from full 2D-panel to just important
instruments on the bottom to no panel guages at all, back to full 2D panel, cycled by pressing "W") does something else, namely opening
up a new artificial horizon guage on top of the full 2D panel. Further pressing of "W" has no further effect, except making the panel flicker
briefly.

I looked through the FSPX key assignments but found no entry for W. I tested the key when FSPX was not active, and it worked. Started a
new FSPX flight, strange behaviour as described above. Ended the FSPX flight and tested the key, it worked again.

Any help?

I'm having the same problem. Whenever I try to bring up a mini panel, it pops up for a microsecond and then cycles back to the main
panel. I have yet to fly an entire flight with FSPassengersX because I ALWAYS use my mini panels when I'm landing (I can't see the
runway with the main panel up) and I spend time making mini panels for each aircraft. Yesterday, I had FSPX just quit on me in mid-flight,
well actually I was 800 nm away from my dest. I'm using Vista x86 SP1 with FSX SP1 (I refuse to install SP2/Acceleration even though I
own it). I don't run FSX as administrator, maybe I'll give that a shot, and I don't use the Aero theme (aka resource hog). ANY help would
be appreciated because not being able to use a mini panel is driving me nuts.

ah, ok! That clears things up, thanks!

I guess it's no problem to close the mini panel in order to use the W key...as skinnyb82 also notes, I usually only need to do this while
landing, so that I can see the runway ahead of me. Soon afterwards, the flight is over anyway (one way or another!)

Thanks Dan. Definitely a Christmas present. I'll give it a try here in a few minutes. One more thing. I made a flight from DTW-NRT
yesterday as NWA11 (in Brandon Henry's BEAUTIFUL Delta 747-451 repaint) and as I was landing (in Posky's non-existant VC so I could
see the runway), I touched down, applied R/T and ground spoilers and when I set the nose gear down, the nose just seemed to keep
dropping and dropping until I finally realized that the nose gear was collapsing and sparks started flying. I received no warnings that my
gear failed to lock and the nose gear was down in external view. FSX finally CTD'd with an OOM message. I know I didn't force the nose
down too hard like some rookies do (or touch down nose-gear first), but how do you suggest getting the nose down without collapsing
the gear.

Hmm, I'd like to see the end of flight report on this one Maybe the contact points of the aircraft need some fine-tuning?

I originally had the same problem in the pre-release too but i found if I hit the W key really fast two times it seems to work. This is on SP1
mind you.
I also reaasigned the mini panel key to key E so it is very close if you need to open the view quickly while using the W key and need the
mini instruments.
