The Omission Of Saving a FSPassengers Flight

True my test as showed that in some case your plane "jump" when restored, so i had to delay the detection.
Anyway as stated previously the restore was not reliable for some Tester so I disabled it.

First, off, I for one am the kind of actual hard core gamer that sits through a 10 hour flight (or I will start it late at night set the autopilot and
go to bed. There goes 4 to 6 hours of my flight that I dont have to worry about). I will set in my options beforehand to make sure my
passengers are "fed and watered" so Im not hit for much when I wake up, and viola, no need to save my flight. besides, I cant save a
flight in real life, but I CAN let my copilot take the "graveyard" shift while I dream about the mile high club.

Oh and in my years with FS9 I have never used time acceleration Time accel isnt something true hardcore users use lol

Well, I just go VFR for a bit. Doesnt seem cancelling the plan due to my sleeping affects anything with FSP. I dont always use the ATC
when I know its going to be an overnight while SaVas sleeps flight because I leave my monitor on and the sound up just a little bit. The
ATC chatter would keep me awake, however the stewardess's accent is music to my ears. Love that accent

Time acceleration at 16x is quite fun with aircrafts like Concorde or a Mirage already above Mach 2, or also if you find approach and
landing too easy

But indeed a pity in FSPassengers. Like buying an original painting and hanging it face against the wall.


SavAs solution seems very good but I have some question about this:

What about failures ? Do you déactivate them before flight? or do you spice up things taking the risk to wake up in a submarine or in a
ghost plane where everybody died from loss of pressurisation?

In flight coffees and drink: I had in some 2 - 3 hours flighs 3 coffees and 2 drinks... Means in 10 hours about 10 coffees and 6 drinks...
Can you drink all them together just waking up before landing ???

Try this (shh..don' tell anybody):
After reaching cruise level, wait for FS to hand you over to the next controller. Answer back "contact XXX center 121.1". Then switch to the
new controller only, but don't contact them. You'll never be bothered again until you decide you need them once more. I usually open the
ATC window about 300NM out from the destination airport and contact them again. When they answer, they'll give you ackward headings
to turn to. Don't answer and stay on your course. After 4 or 5 times the ATC is gonna give you the correct heading and tell you to proceed
on course. You are back with ATC...

I agree with you - but try reviewing the FS add-ons in the quantities I do and you will wish you did use time acceleration!

Here's another way,
Just take off not using ATC (Naughty) and fly direct to you destination airport. About a 100 miles to go load a flight plan to the airport and
request IFR cleareance.

Would it not be possible for FS passengers to have it's own save system, that is completely independant of the FS save? So if you need to
leave your computer you save your FS flight in the normal way, then you save FS passengers to it's own file. Then later you can reload your
flight and then reload FS passengers.

I really think a save option of some kind is needed, mostly to safe guard against the dreaded crashes. which my computer seems to be
prone to a lot of at the moment. Also for longhaul flights, when having the simulator running for 10 hours or more is not really practical, and
sometimes not possible.

I think FS passengers is a great program, and has really increased my enjoyment of the sim.
