I fly on VATSIM where goofy things can often trigger a crash that just aren't valid and being whisked out of the environment can be a real pain in the
multiplayer environment.
Last night I had a real nasty situation. I was flying into Chicago O'Hare and a guy in front of me landed, got clearance to head to the gates and
acknowledged that. When I was cleared to land, he suddenly, and with intent, turn UP the taxiway, applied full thrust and took off from the taxiway.
He got airborne and immediately came after me. I tried to get out of the way but at 140 knots I wasn't going anywhere fast and he rammed right into me.
Now I have crashes disabled in FS9 but apparently FSP tracks it too and took over. It said I crashed an all aboard died.
Obviously I didn't record this flight.
However, I now want to know how I do turn off monitoring of that in FSP. Several posters to VATSIM said FSP supports that but I couldn't find it.
Second, I really would like to see a feature that allows me to ignore the crash. I would like to have the crash detection ON but if it happens ask me
if it's valid. If so, I'll apply it. If not, like in this case, I'll say no and continue flying as if it didn't happen.
I realize this would allow for "cheating" but it's my choice. It's better than the option now of choosing to NEVER have a crash or always have one.
